Mena Alexandra Suvari (born February 13 1979) is a famous American model and actress. She is also a fashion designer model. Following a brief time as a model for fashion and then a transition to acting, appearing as a guest on TV shows like Boy Meets World in the 1990s and High Incident. Her film debut came in the 1997 documentary Nowhere. The actress made her way to big roles through her appearances as a character in American Beauty for which she was nominated for a BAFTA Award and American Pie both of which earned her wider attention. Since then she appeared in Loser (2000) alongside her American Pie co-star Jason Biggs and later played the main role in the comedy film Sugar & Spice (2001). Spun the independent drama from 2002 and the thriller movie Trauma (2004) are the two films she has made her most recent appearances. In addition, she was a part of the HBO the drama Six Feet Under. The show was an instant hit during 2004. In 2005, the Screen Actors' Guild honored her as one of the best actors. In 2008, Suvari was a part in a string of films which included Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh as well as the adaptation film of The Garden of Eden.
